The included Auto-Reset Chip (ARC) is pre-installed on the cartridge.

Technical Details:

These cartridges are equipped with an Auto-Reset Chip (ARC), so no chip resetter is needed to reset the ink level on the chip. This ARC chip communicates the electronically stored ink level to the printer. From the first use, an electronic counter runs down to a minimum fill limit, just as it does with an original cartridge. When the cartridge is empty, the printer will indicate that the cartridge is no longer recognized. After this message, remove the cartridge from the printer, refill it completely, and reinstall it. This simulates a cartridge change to the printer, and the ARC chip automatically resets the ink level to “Full.”

The electronically stored ink level is independent of the actual ink level in the cartridge, so the user must always visually ensure that there is enough ink in the cartridge. For this reason, the cartridge housing is partially transparent.

These cartridges can be used in combination with original cartridges and are refillable indefinitely. The fill volume of this refill cartridge is 16-17 ml.

To fill a cartridge of this type, a 20 ml syringe, including a long needle, is required! This accessory is not included with the cartridge.
