ICC Printer Profile with 5600 Measurements

This ICC color profile is created individually for your printer, eliminating color casts and enabling excellent prints, perfectly tailored to your printer and the paper used for optimal color reproduction and contrast distribution.

Color Cast in Photo Printing?

If prints from an inkjet printer produce color errors or color casts despite correct printer settings, it is due to a suboptimal color adjustment of the materials used in the printer. Even with color-adjusted inks, a printer result is rarely perfectly color-managed, but by using a custom-created ICC profile, you will always achieve an improvement in print quality.

Our ICC profile service creates a custom ICC color profile for your printer/ink/paper combination, which translates the print data as perfectly as possible, within the technical possibilities!

Integrate this printer profile into your workflow, and you will get accurate print colors.

This profile creation involves measuring 5600 color patches.

Difference without and with a suitable ICC profile

Flue pictures, weird colors?

Unfortunately, it doesn't always fit the colors when printing the photos. It can be particularly problematic when a foreign paper or a foreign ink is used. This can be remedied quickly and easily with our ICC profile service.

Print with an individual ICC profile

This is how the print of the same photo looks like if you use an individual ICC profile for your printer/ink/paper combination. Clean, natural looking colors and a decent contrast distribution. In the future, use your new ICC profile for all prints on this photo paper.

For which printer do we create ICC profiles?

We create RGB ICC profiles for photo and large-format printers from the following printer series:

  • Canon® imagePROGRAF PRO, Canon® Pixma Pro, Canon® Pixma, Canon® Megatank, Canon® Maxify
  • Epson® Surecolor P, Epson® EcoTank L, Epson® EcoTank ET, Epson® Expression, Epson® Stylus Pro, Epson® Stylus Photo

For photo printers (inkjet printers for photographers), RGB ICC profiles are typically used because:

  • Most photo printers work internally with RGB data and only convert to CMYK in the driver or printer.
  • The entire workflow – from image editing (sRGB, AdobeRGB, ProPhotoRGB) to printing – is based on RGB.

Therefore, ICC profiles such as sRGB, AdobeRGB, or specific ICC profiles for printing media (RGB-based) are used and integrated into software such as Photoshop, Lightroom, or printer drivers.

Important: For a successful profile creation, it is essential that all color management (operating system, printer) is explicitly disabled when printing the test chart! Ensure that this is possible in the printer software (printer driver) of your device. If this is not possible, unpredictable print results may occur.

We do not offer the creation of CMYK ICC profiles, which are used in offset printing or prepress.

How does it proceed after the order?

After the payment for your shop order has been confirmed, the ICC profile package will be sent to you by email. The included test chart should be printed according to the provided instructions. Once printed, send us the test chart by mail, and we will create your ICC profile, usually on the same day it is received. The profile will then be sent to you as an email attachment.

The profile creation package includes the following files:

  • The test chart as a TIFF file for printing (1x, 2x, 4x, or 8x A4 sheets, depending on the profile ordered)
  • The order form for profile creation (PDF)
  • Instructions for printing the test chart using “Adobe Color Printer Utility” or “Dinax Mirage” (Windows, macOS)
  • Instructions for printing the test chart using the “ColorSync Utility” (macOS)
