Technical Details
These cartridges are equipped with an Auto-Reset Chip (ARC), so there is no need for a chip resetter to reset the chip’s ink level. The ARC chip communicates the electronically stored ink level to the printer. From the first use, an electronic counter runs down to a minimum fill level, similar to how an original cartridge functions.
When the printer reports an empty cartridge, the refillable cartridge must be briefly lifted and then reinserted in this printer model. This simulates a cartridge change, and the ARC chip automatically resets the ink level to “Full.”
The electronically stored ink level is independent of the actual ink level in the cartridge, so the user must visually ensure that there is always enough ink in the cartridge. For this reason, the cartridge housing is partially transparent.
These cartridges can be used in combination with original cartridges and are infinitely refillable. The fill volume of this refillable cartridge is 13ml. To fill a cartridge of this type, a 60ml syringe with a needle is required! This accessory is not included with the cartridge.
